White Shield, Inc., established in 1978, is a Native American owned consulting engineering company. White Shield, Inc. is owned and managed by Stuart and Herb Fricke, members of the Arikara Tribe from Fort Berthold, North Dakota. The company is active in providing engineering design services, survey and mapping, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and environmental services to a diverse clientele of government and commercial interests. The firm employs a staff of over fifty personnel located throughout the Pacific Northwest within three office locations. The company is a certified minority business enterprise and is active in various minority organizations such as the American Indian Council of Architects and Engineers (AICAE) and the Northwest Minority Supplier Development Council.
